'REALLY WORRYING'

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield queue row UPDATE: Labour MP ‘worried’ for This Morning duo as petition passes 73k

- Holly and Phil ‘ushered disabled woman away to dodge queue’
- ITV bosses fear duo will be booed at NTAs after queue-storm
- Holly Willoughby’s Marks and Spencer future revealed

A PETITION to sack This Morning's iconic hosts has passed 73,000 signatures - as politicians say they "worry" over the public outcry.

Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield have been the subject of controversy after being accused of skipping the 12-hour queue to see the Queen Lying in State ahead of her funeral last Monday.

And on Sunday, speaking at a fringe event at Labour’s conference in Liverpool, Labour’s deputy leader Angela Rayner expressed her concern at the backlash the This Morning duo are facing on social media.

Describing the torrent of abuse as “really damaging”, Ms Rayner said: “I’ve been worried about them because even though they are celebrities… they are human beings and I just think ‘wow’. The way in which the online attack on them, as a human being to have that, I just think is really damaging.”

Ms Rayner also added that the sheer scale of online abuse the pair are facing would mean it is important for parliament to legislate on the matter.

Nightclub lets anyone called Holly or Phil skip the queue

A NIGHTCLUB is offering anyone called Phil or Holly the chance to jump its queue.

The deal follows claims TV pair Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby skipped the line to see the Queen's coffin.

Huddersfield's Five Bar says punters can take advantage this weekend. A Facebook post states: "If you are lucky enough to be called Holly or Phil there will be no public queueing for you."

Other businesses also joined the backlash after This Morning hosts Phil, 60, and Holly, 41, sailed past mourners in line at Westminster Hall. Earlier this week Domino's Pizza tweeted: "Apologies to anyone waiting on their pizza, we've just received an order from Holly and Phil."

And The London Dungeon said visitors asking for a "Holly & Phil" would "gain queue jumping rights, jostling past peasants who have been waiting their turn".

Kim Woodburn was left ‘appalled’ by Holly and Phil

Speaking on GB News, How Clean Is Your House star Kim Woodburn hit out at the iconic duo, calling for ITV to sack them both for “lying.”

She told the channel: “Their self-serving publicity stunt cam back to bite them on the bum, didn’t it? I’m appalled by them.

“There were many people in that queue, people with wheelchairs and walking sticks. And Holly and Phillip think because they are on TV they can flout the rules.

“They’re telling lies and they’ve been caught. They’re cocky, they’re self-assured and they are disliked intensely.

“They should be fired and the crew would say, ‘Yippee. We’ve had enough of these two idiots. They won’t be missed.’”

According to one source, the iconic TV duo were not even on the guestlist before their arrival at Westminster Hall to see the Queen.

An insider explained: “When they got there, their names weren’t on the list so there were some discussions and – after some back and forth – Phil and Holly were given access and they were ushered through. The whole thing caused a bit of a hoo-ha.”
