    Former Corrie star announces pregnancy

The actress admitted she told her mum first.

Lucy Fallon, who played Bethany Platt on the hit ITV soap, said she called her mum and told her the news before sharing with her footballer boyfriend, Matt Ledson when he returned from training.

Having gone through a miscarriage in March, Fallon talked about how she feels now: "It feels a lot more real now. I don't think I look that pregnant at the moment, just like I've had a lot of KFC!

"I had pregnancy symptoms and I was feeling really unwell and when they were doing all these scans my symptoms were getting worse and worse and there were no signs I had had a miscarriage, so that made it more of a shock.

"We just assumed everything was going to be fine. Then after a week when they'd done the blood tests and other tests I went back and they said that I had miscarried."

SPOILERS - Emmerdale 50th anniversary scenes

With the anniversary episodes upcoming, danger and drama have been confirmed.

One of the characters in danger is Liv Flaherty, played by Isobel Steele. Talking about filming the scenes, which involve stunts, she said: "I love anything to do with stunts. Anything different from the normal day is really good fun. The wind machines are huge and so loud.

"I’m so excited about it. I've got a clip-on holder for my earbuds, which we all have to have on because the machines are so loud and we can't hear what anyone is saying."

"Me and Brad [Johnson, who plays Vinny] are going to have to think about when we say our line - we've got no idea because we can't hear or see each other at all, so we're just kind of winging it! It's really good fun to do."
