Schoolboy, 14, found dead in South London wood after he was last seen getting on a bus

A MISSING schoolboy who was last seen getting on a bus has been found dead in a South London wood, police have said.

Jamie Daniel, 14, was last seen in his school uniform and the Met Police say his death is currently being treated as unexplained.

Jamie was last seen at around 4pm on Wednesday, May 11, getting on a Route 132 bus from Eltham after he left school. 

The Met Police have now said that the following day officers were called at just before 11am to Dene Avenue, Sidcup, after a male was found unresponsive in a wooded area.

“Officers responded. The male was pronounced dead at the scene,” said a spokesperson.

“The male has been formally identified as 14-year-old Jamie Daniel, who had been reported missing from Bexley.

“The death is currently being treated as unexplained while enquiries continue. A file will be prepared for the Coroner.”
