WWE stars turn on legend Kane after controversial US abortion rights ruling as Paige leads furious backlash

PAIGE was among the wrestling stars who slammed WWE legend Kane after he praised the controversial US abortion ruling.

Shockingly, it was confirmed on Friday that the Supreme Court had overturned the landmark ruling Roe V Wade, eliminating nearly 50 years of constitutional protections for abortion.

The decision ultimately means that abortion procedures will be banned in about half of America's states.

And 13 states have so-called trigger laws in place that will see abortion banned within 30 days.

Kane - real name Glenn Jacobs - is now the Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee.

And he hailed the ruling as a victory despite it dividing the nation.

He tweeted: "Roe v. Wade has been overturned!

"This clears the way for states like TN to pass stronger protections for the unborn, and is an answer to a prayer for so many. #RightToLife #Victory."

Paige, who recently announced she will be leaving WWE at the end of her contract in July after 11 years with the company, hit back with a brutally honest assessment of Jacobs' controversial opinion.

The former WWE Divas Champion - real name Saraya-Jade Bevis - said: "Glenn you were an idol of mine and I sung your praises to anyone I met.

"But this is the biggest piece of s**" take from you ever.

"Very disappointing that you think controlling women’s bodies and taking away our rights is a 'victory'.”

Fellow WWE star Becky Lynch added: "I chose to be mother. To a daughter. That I could safely deliver and afford to raise. A daughter who deserves autonomy over her own body.

"Banning abortions doesn’t stop them. It stops safe ones. God bless you, your ignorance and lack of uterus."

Mustafa Ali said: "They don’t care about your born or unborn. They care about money and power."

And Britt Baker responded directly to Kane, saying: "No wonder you couldn’t cut it as a dentist. #idiot."
