Joe Skrebels is IGN's Executive Editor of News. He is, improbably, part-English, part-Latvian, part-Canadian, and part-Australian. Beginning his career in 2012 at Official Nintendo Magazine, he went on to work for Official Xbox Magazine and GamesRadar+ before arriving at IGN. He has also written for Edge, PC Gamer, Official PlayStation Magazine, GamesMaster, Kotaku, CVG, and more. Only some of the outlets he has done work for have since closed down, so he accepts no accusations that he is responsible for their downfall.
Some of his favourite work at IGN includes a documentary about how a Swedish man's lie helped create Nintendo as we know it, an investigation into whether a fictional shotgun was turned into a real Russian shotgun, and this video called 'The Birth of Quivering Beef Boy'.
