Phone number checker

Check whether a Barclays number you’ve been asked to call is genuine – and find out how to handle incoming calls that make you suspicious.

What you need to know before you check a number

Scammers can make calls and text messages look like they’re coming from one of our numbers.

If you’ve receive an unexpected call that you’re not sure is from us, end the call and phone us back from a different phone, or call a friend to see if the scammers are hanging onto the line. Don’t call the number back directly – instead, use the number on the back of your Barclays debit card or any other number that our checker confirms is safe to call.

If you have a corporate, wealth or investment bank account, contact us directly.
